I have an older 90s road bike, Cannondale that does not have handlebars but does have the old school stems. I think I remember them being called goose necks at one time. Anyway, I want to get a cheap set of handle bars < $100 but I am not sure what the size might be. Is it a standard size? If so what might it be and can you still get handle bars that size?

Be careful. It could have either a 25.4mm, 26mm, or even 26.4 clamp diameter. You might want to measure it with a caliper.

Most likely it's a 25.4.

If the stem (aka gooseneck) is as old as the bike and it is a Cinelli, it's really likely to be a 26.4. But do measure the ID of the handlebar hole, you do need to get the correct size.
