I've only done a quick test run so far but first impressions suggest that my brakes no longer work, I'm no longer fit and this is one hell of a chick magnet :D

I've finally got the bars in a decent position thanks to the longest adjustable neck I could find set at its highest height. The noodle bars are terrific. A bit of extra tilt on the saddle seems to have sorted the problems I was having there ie, I'm now sliding back into the correct position. It's as hard as but the sensations are that it'll break in to be really comfy. So all is going well. I'm glad I've got V brakes and a travel agent on the brifters - that set up makes for very powerful brakes and methinks I'll need them with the trailer (dat dog's a lot bigger than he looks).

I've seen a number of pics on this forum of late that have the nose of the saddle up a click or two. When I've tried that, on three different saddles, the pain was exquisite. I don't know how any guy can ride one when it is set up like that.

Brooks are different than other saddles. It's hard to see in the photo, but look closely at the rear part of the saddle where he actually sits. It is level or even slightly sloping down. That, combined with the fact that you don't sink into the saddle, results in the tender parts being suspended above the saddle, not pressing against it. Don't try this on a padded saddle.

The family member has to have a water bowl and its own gel packs, power bars, and sports drinks. You may also want to put a netting of some type over the opening so that the family member can't bail out in traffic. Oh yeah where is the helmet? No riding shorts, no gloves, and no eye protection. I hear PETA and OSHA trying to beat your door down.

My wife has a basket on her bike and our poodle gets to ride with her. She puts in soft cloth for him to lay on and takes a mesh over the basket so that he can't bail. The mesh is to keep him from falling out because he is really to old and fat to bail.

The front opening is covered in mesh so I'm safe there. His name's Skipper, because I also build wooden boats and he's a boat doggie. Trouble is, he has tried to walk on water a few times so yes, he'll be enclosed or restrained. The first time I took him in the MG with the top down, he loved it, loved it so much he climbed up on the back of the car :eek: That was the day I bought the harness and seat belt strap for him :rolleyes: He goes with me whenever I can manage it, so the last 12 months with me disappearing on the bike every day haven't been a happy time for him.

I've finally bought some scales and weighed the brute - 9.3kg. Funny, he feels a lot more. No, I am NOT telling you how much I weigh ;)

Skipper is a doll, a true chick magnet. Hope you enjoy many miles together.

He's my son's soccer team mascot. The darling of all the parents AND the lads (teenagers I might add). Last season, they threatened to knit him a scarf in the team colours :D His greatest moment was the day we were watching a match and it started to bucket down with rain. I looked around for my dog and he was, three chairs up, sitting on someone's lap under an umbrella :D

Please, no clothes or hats on animals. They have fur. Sunglasses, maybe....

I love my dog, but dang! If he wants to come with me, he's gonna have to run along. I have enough difficulty hauling my own arse up some of the hills around here.

We saw a young father (? or uncle, whatever) pulling one of these -- same color -- with a couple of kids in it. The bike was pink too.

Love it! Skipper is a real cutie.

I saw a similar rig in the park last year. The gentleman had two dogs in it and a sign that read "Bark Mobile".
