I've just purchased a bike to start commuting to work and the forums have been a wealth of awesome information so far.
In the week since I've owned my new (used, but new to me) ride I've put about 60 miles on it; not too much but a lot to me considering I haven't rode a bike for about 15 years.
So thank you to all the posters who've have helped me so far and didn't know it; I think I've done as much reading as riding in the last few days :p

Welcome, Furiousbox!! 60 miles in a week is above average for anyone just getting getting back into it. Congratulations and well done!

Hello furiousbox, what bike have you got? Do you do only road cycling, or are you a MTBer as well?

Welcome to BF!

Yeah, my legs are definitely feeling those miles today.
My bike is an '06 Fuji Crosstown 1.0.
No mountain biking as of yet, however with the amount of trails around the LA area I may wind up dropping more money on another bike. Well as soon as we get my gf her bike - she wants to start commuting too!

Mountain biking is fun! And it's great to see that your girlfriend wants to start bike commuting too. Now all you need to do is to get her to join up here as well :D .
