General Cycling Discussion - I'm crossing the country this weekend

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Don't get excited though. Being central Scotland, it's from Glasgow to Edinburgh so only about 50 miles. Doing it as part of pedalforscotland for childrens charities.

i'm in the 1600's as a participant number so I'm looking forward to seeing hundreds of bikes at any one time.

Hope it's warmer next weekend, but the wind should be behind us. Unless it's omnidirectional :) :)

Good luck and hope the weather gets warmer. It is not everyone that can say the rode across the country. (even if it is only 50 miles)

May the four letter word be absent from your ride! HHHH, (Heat, humidity, hills and head-winds). Wishing you a perfect ride!

Sounds fun. I wish I could come along. I bet there must be plenty of hills though.

Course is pretty flat. Should be tailwinds all the way.
