Is anyone riding it this year? Has anyone done so in the past?

I'm planning on heading up for it. It will be my first time to ride in the area.

I mailed in my registration yesterday. I'll be on a Litespeed, probably in a black/red "Wheels of Love" jersey.

Charles.
I rode it last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. The I rode the 62 mile route, which was only 57 or so only because the last little out and back extra loop wasn't that well marked. The rest of the route was well defined, and with the exception of the first 2-3 miles, very little auto traffic. It was well supported and had lots of SAG vehicles patrolling. It had a small turnout (I think 98 was the count), but there was an established tour scheduled that same day. The roads were in decent shape, and there are hills, not real big, but you're either going up or down, not many flats. One of the more enjoyable aspects of the ride -for me at least- NO DOGS!!!! That came as a pleasant surprise. It was a fun ride, and you'll enjoy the scenery. Have fun.
I am planning to be there. Will have my club "Schumberger Cycling Club" jersey. Same one I have on in my avatar. Charles.

Yeah, you can't miss that jersey can you... as an ex-SLB wireline engineer the colors and lines are cool, but to everyone else it must look like some funky tie-die design.

I wish I'd read your post more carefully. We did the same thing today. Although with the headwind for the last stretch heading into town, I had no interest in doing the extra 5.
Saw two large snakes on Slater road, one flat and one working his way across the road. Couple of dogs, but no incidents. Really nice day on the bike.
