<<< sadface: :(

It was the beater, a 2003 Specialized Hardrock Pro, that took the hit this afternoon, snatched while I was at work.

I hope whoever took it has a good time with the bag of whatever he traded it for.

Sorry to hear that. I had 4 bikes stolen from me when I lived in Rochester. Seems things haven't changed much. :(

I hope they can find it! Put out the word in your regional discussion forum!

Your mtb got stolen?? That sucks!

Find whoever took it and..."BOOM! Headshot!"

...but not really...violence is bad

There is some consolation in imagining this tosser hitting his junk on the toptube when he slips off of my clipless pedals. :)

Awww man - Feel the hurt!

Got a pic? I'll spread it to some of my friends. These jerks do not give a hoot about anything - plus I know you live in the area - cops said - when mine was stolen - that bike theft was on a huge rise around here.

And what really hurts and sucks is that they're not even actually using the bike rightly - it's basically a means of transportation - can't tell you how many broken bikes I've found.

When I was at the bus station last weekend in Ithaca NY - This older woman was on the pay phone griping to someone that he better get this kid up and get his butt down to the bus station in the next 5 minutes as the bus is taking off.

This 19-ish kid showed up - dumped the bike on the sidewalk - walked over to this woman and got on the bus. So this bike was a means of transport - means nothing to him. I had a few minutes to spare so I walked over - it was a small Trek mtb - badly beaten - pedals semi chomped off - and it hurt to look at it. I called the cops though as the frame was still in good condition.

Awww, I feel for you. sigh. I find myself looking at all bikes going by me now - judging the people to the bike - no way did they buy that :(

PM me - rather curious where your workplace is as I still see that gang around me that I saw had my bike, and at last experience (couple weeks ago) they had a sweet yellow cannondale mtb with them. :(:(:(:(:( So mine must have been trashed or re-stolen. Tourettes coming out now ... @#$%@#$

Seriously - send me a pic - I'll send to the TdB and my other contacts. Plus I see lots of things downtown - like when I was on my way to pick up the arsinine police report and this other guy was trying to sell another Cannondale mtb to people on the sidewalk. People always say check craigslist - but these @$$@# around here aren't really interested in selling on line. It's cash. :(

No pictures.

This bike wasn't really photo worthy. :(

About the judging: I've always done that. :D

Jerk who got mine rode off haphazardly on my clipless from witnesses. WTH, coulda ran after the jerk, instead they waited till I walked out of the store. 40 seconds.

And yes I sincerely hope they had a bit ole bag of tricks hit that top tube too. Or dumped it, badly. Yes, badly.

Well come on - what the freak color was it. Unless you decorated it quite specially --- I mean I have seen neon purple. :) You have a neon purple bike? Superman stickers perhaps?

(hope you know I'm joking ... Ok, so Spiderman motiffe perhaps? :D)

Sorry

Dude, I feel your pain. My fixed conversion and my 2001 Kona Roast got jacked from my garage last month. Insuarnce got me two new bikes, but they ain't my bikes yet, you know? Those other bikes I ahd history with. It sucks that someone was spying on me. Now my garage has a monitored alarm on it. My fixed gear is locked in my car with a New York chain and a Kryptonite U-lock. The car is locked, the garage is locked, the alarm is on. Paranoid much? My new MTN bike is right beside me as I type.

I can't relax, every teenager i see is a suspect. (No offence to any teens reading this).

Sweet weepin' jebus, I'd be wiring up some C4 and a detonator under the seat all hooked up to a remote activator. Let 'em get 50 yards away and push the button.... WHAM! Instant eunuch. :)
