I've been looking for a set of low profile forks for a time trial tandem but am not getting very far. I've come to the conclusion that carbon is out since all the tandem tested carbon forks are understandably 'chunky'.
I read through some posts from earlier threads on forks and noticed that somebody suggested that a company called Argos Cycles in the UK produces some very nice low pro steel forks so I called them up. The chap was very helpful but to cust a short story even shorter, he didn't recommend them at all for tandem use and wouldn't sell me a pair even if I wanted to buy them. Although dissappointed, I appreciate this kind of honesty and canda because the fork is possibly the most critical part that you don't want to fail. But now I'm at a dead end.
Can anyone point me in the direction of somebody who sells/produces a pair of low profile steel forks specifically designed and tested for tandems please? They need not be huge blades but just thinned than carbon offerings from Reynolds, Alpha Q, Winwood etc.
Thanks in advance.
