An hour up the motorway - Lake district - ride Hardnott pass :D

I ride out from Skem (best thing to do with it ) and ride circuits via Parbold, stoney lane etc

Depends on the time of day - I like cyling in central London before the traffic gets too bad. I get to Fleet Street before 7am

For road - there are some very quiet and idyllic lanes in south Cheshire. Specifically west of Nantwich and around Beeston castle area. Some of the roads are closed for bridge repair but up to cycles (bliss!). Also some great pubs.

I don't think the o.p is coming back, but anyway, Glossup to Sheffield on Snake pass is a fine ride and challenging.
