I'm looking to buy a Tri bike and have read alot about the TTX. The Cervelo P# Carbon and TTX are close to the same price. Wheels may be different. Does any one have a TTX and how do they like it. I'm trying to talk myself into buying Trek but I'm still open to suggestions.

Thanks

I own an Equinox 9 and chose it over the Cervelo P2 SL primarily because the sizing of the Trek worked well for me (long legs and a short torso). Price was better on the Trek and that helped in my decision as well. The downsides to my decision was that the Cervelo was lighter, had better components, and the wheels on the Trek are GARBAGE. I don't know if you're planning on using the wheels that come with the bike for training, but I know the Bontrager wheels that shipped with my bike go out of true if you so much as look at them cross so know that ahead of time. Can't comment on the wheels that ship with the Cervelo, but they can't be any worse than the race lite aeros. If I had to do it over again I would have made the same decision, but I would have gotten a sturdier set of wheels from the start.

I think this is an issue where you should submit to choosing by fit. The Cervelo P3 and Trek TTX have fairly different fit qualities.

How different? I plan to get my first time trial bike. Equinox TTX will be my 1st choice candidate.
