Hey guys and gals, I'll bet I'm not the only one with this problem. After about riding for 30 mins or so, if I keep my head parallel to the ground... my neck starts hurting. I know it's not the most natural position of your neck to be in.

Is there anything you can do to "treat" this? Exercise? Longer rides? What are your thoughts....?

While stretching, strengthening excercises, and acclimatization can all contribute to relieving this, there's a more direct and obvious solution:

Raise your handlebars. On a road bike, you do this by substituting a stem with more rise.

Oh, and of course don't use a visor on your helmet, if applicable.
