Who else uses Lance's TT Helmet...? The only other guy I've seen use it is David Millar. Is there anyone else....?

I thought Lance's TT helmet was a custom job, made for him, that he participated in the design of. Or so I seem to recall Phil or somebody saying during a previous TT stage.

They said that lance has a patent on his Time Trial helmet. He paid for all of the wind tunnel testing. So he is the only one who uses it.

Ive heard them make a reference that only a couple riders get to wear it. Ive never heard them say exactly who they are.

During one of OLN's tech bits, Frankie Andreu told us about how LA paid for the wind tunnel time and testing to get the shape just right. He also mentions that LA owns the rights to the helmet since he forked out the dough... one reader who asked this question asked if this was true... I'm not sure, but it sounds feasible. As for why the whole team doesn't wear them? There is only one size (to fit LA) and the riders have to carry their head the same way as LA does when riding TT style, otherwise the extra fin shape does them no good, and the other helmets do just as well. David Millar gets one 'cause he and LA are good friends (and his head is the same size, etc...)
It's just as you said Chief.
