Hey guys,

Sorry I haven't been on in awhile!

Ive been busy looking for work and stuff.

My bike blew a tire about 3 weeks ago, and the derailer got out of alignment. I started riding my fathers old bike which is really beat up for awhile. However today my best friend happened to be in town and we not only replaced the tires, we fixed the derailer, cleaned it and fixed up my 1974 Free Spirit. It rides pretty smooth now, alot smoother than it was. I am back (safely) on the road, car free riding about 50-60 miles a week.

I love it!

Hey glad to see you are back! And have the bike fixed!

Just out of curiousity what was your dad's "old bike";)

It is amazing what a tune up can do for an old bike. I finally got around to cleaning up and doing some long overdue maintenance to my Raleigh Superbe and it made a night and day difference in the ride.

Aaron:)

My fathers old bike is actually the newer model of my freespirit. (Mines a 1974 and his is a 1975 or 1976). His is in really bad shape though. It's rims are bent, the brakes dont work anymore, the brake pads are worn-gone, and the turn on the handlebars, well... it dosent like to turn. Its just worn out. My freespirit was barely ridden by its original owner. Therefore the brake pads are in excellent shape. the gears and derailer just needed some work. + tire and tire tube replacements.
