Does anyone sell metal brake cable housing (without the black plastic cover)? I'm running a front brake and I'd like to have silver housing to go with the silver brake and silver lever.

Take off the plastic cover? Once cut it slides off easily with pliers.

I actually did that with a section of housing. Problem is then the housing is much narrower than everything it's supposed to fit into.

Jagwire braided housing is just what you're looking for. It comes in a bunch of different metallic colours (silver, ti, gold) and looks pimpin.

Shimano made some old SIS housing that is clear with metal. Looks super nice and it's lined. Lemme know if you need help getting it, I have a local source I can check out for you.
