Hey all, I live in Exmouth, Devon. I am wondering if any people can recommend places in my neck of the woods (Cornwall, Devon, Somerset, Dorset) for climbing. Most of what I have done has been rolling hills with climbs rarely over a half mile. I would like to get my teeth stuck into some really grueling climbs that will punish my joints, my cardiovascular system and my confidance. Need not be widely steep, but as long as you can find. I have'nt done much exploring yet, but I was wondering what places like the South Hams, Dartmoor, Bodmin moor or Exmoor have to offer. I would probably get a train to Exeter, then anouther to remove some of the distance. At the moment, I am keeping to rides under 60 miles while I build up my endurance.

Better late than never, but try Porlock Hill and some others on Exmoor. Look at a O.S map.
