Just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm in the South Okanagan in B.C., Canada where you'll often see me on my Devinci Destination touring bike.
I commute by bike and cycle for errands and meetings in town year-round. Most people around here ask if I own a car. (I do since I need one for work, but it usually sits parked at the office, unloved and neglected, longing for some attention.)
I also ride for recreation and fitness as well as for touring. The roads here are seldom straight and flat. Some of the mountain passes are quite challenging, especially with a bike loaded for self-supported solo touring.
I've been riding almost all my life but I'm hoping to pick up a few hints and suggestions from other cyclists, especially about ways to move a little faster.
