My name is Max Loudenback, I'm 59 and retired and I am getting back in to cycling again after many years of being a couch potato. I rode TOSRV, the Midwest Double Century, and the Hilly Hundred back in about 1972 on a Fuji Finest, and then gradually just quit getting any exercise at all that wasn't horizontal. Now, after a complete series of tests on my heart, I've been scared back into riding a too large Raleigh Mt. Bike, and a Ross Signature 294S ? (Campy equipped) I bought for a hundred bucks at a hock shop several years ago, on the hilly streets of New Castle, Indiana. I've already started to feel a lot better. Just wish I had a triple crankset on that Ross.

Hello Max,

I'm from Portsmouth, OH - so, I'm a huge fan of the TOSRV. I imagine the trip back is pretty rough through Waverly and Chillicothe with the changes in elevation.

You're only 59 and want a triple? You're just a kid. ;)

Good luck with getting back into shape.

Hi Max, you don't really need a triple--I have only one bike with a triple, and I think it's harder to get up the hills with that bike than with my 10- and 12-speed bikes :) .

Welcome to BF!
