[snip] When you take into account most of you guys are paying thousands for a single bike, most black people will look at you like you have lost your darn minds! Bicycling magazine does nothing to help either in this regard. The cheapest bike I've seen in that rag was $600 and all the faces white.

Point taken. I suppose value is in the eye of the beholder. I guess that yachting magazines are for whites as well because, geesh, you can't find a boat anywhere for under $15,000. And that's just crazy! (sarcasm off) I'll counter that many of those same black people, or just people in general for that matter, will spend thousands of extra dollars on more car than they really need. Personally speaking, I'm a compact/mid-size car type of guy w/o a lot of extra bells and whistles. I see a vehicle as a tool only, to get me places safely and economically and not just as an extension of my member. :innocent:

My point is that we all share different dreams so why not just tolerate what many of us here at BF hold dear

And that 'rag', as you so eloquently put it, is currently outfitting 1000 social workers in Gambia with bicycles so that they may see more people per day.
