i just received my Pocket Rocket and i've barely had a chance to ride it. it seems terrific but i'm excited to take it out for futher research and development :)
my question/concern for BF veterans: the suitcase. its HUGE. i believe its a larger model than previously was available which is probably good for stuffing it full of helmets and shoes etc. but i was thinking of using it for touring/towing and it just seems massive.
its the 31x22x12 inch samsonite Flite case.
i'd be curious to hear how much smaller the previous case was and any thoughts, tips on the subject, including what other suitcase options were available (if any)
okay, that's it!
thanks!

Bike Friday used the Samsonite Oyster in the past. I never used the Oyster.

Its outside dimensions sum to two less inches. But my understanding is that the difference is meaningful in ease of packing.

Yeah, the Flite is huge. This is both a good an a bad thing. Previously, BF sold the Carlton suitcase, which is a good deal smaller and better made.

The Flite is OK. I wasn't hassled about the size, although it is apparently bigger than the stated maximum l+w+d. It's also much easier to wheel around. The Carlton is smaller (well under the stated limit) sturdier (absolutely friggin' bulletproof) and heavier. But It *just* fit the bike. The Flite leaves a lot more slack for putting various bits in. If you've got a Flite, just live with it.

thanks for the info/input.
the bike is great so far-just a couple rides, but i'm looking forward to making it my tourer. i saw the oysters on ebay, btw, for something like 80 bucks.
