I was just wondering if anybody has heard anything about the Eclipse touring series bikes. They don't seem to make the touring bikes out of steel (found a used one of steel) anymore. It appears they only make them of aluminum and titanium actually. Provide loads of options for components and equipment to negotiate price. Couldn't find the geometry for either the aluminum or titanium frame so I e-mailed them to see if they could provide that and I will fill in when I get a reply. Just curious if anyone has had any experience, even heresay would be fine here. Here is the website for them.

How bad can any bike be? On the other hand I didn't see a single feature in those frames that looks like it takes touring to the next level, from gearing to fork shape or tires, none of it really looks for real, Material just won't take it past basic design problems.

Were do you want to go, and how do you want to get there? ...What else do you kneed?

I'm not that impressed when the description has two grammatical errors in one paragraph. Hard to take them seriously.

Well...they are Quebecois, so I'm assuming their first language is French. I can forgive translation errors.

Okay. I like Quebec. I'll forgive them, too. Je me souviens!

Here is the basic geometry of the aluminum series touring bikes for eclipse. Seems pretty standard to me. Seems like these bikes could warrant a test ride along with the other major bikes if the opportunity presents itself. (You'll have to line up the columns yourself, I tried)
(1)-----(2)-----(3)-----(4)----(5)----(6)-----(7)-----(8)
15.0 - 515.1 - 521.0 - 110.0 - 71.0 - 75.0 - 1030.6 - 450.0
17.0 - 510.4 - 521.0 - 135.0 - 71.0 - 75.0 - 1031.3 - 445.0
19.0 - 520.7 - 543.0 - 155.0 - 71.0 - 73.0 - 1032.8 - 445.0
21.0 - 548.1 - 572.0 - 180.0 - 71.0 - 73.0 - 1058.3 - 445.0
23.0 - 573.7 - 596.0 - 195.0 - 71.0 - 73.0 - 1082.8 - 445.0

Ok, so that did not come out how I wanted it to. So here is the run down. Oh boy I hope this is clear.
1. Frame size C-T
2. Top Tube length actual
3. Top Tube length effective
4. Head Tube length
5. Head tube angle.
6. Seat Tube angle
7. Wheel base.
8. Chainstay length.
