That little calf is my icon now...he got abducted by lions, attacked by a huge croc, and still made it!
After all I've been through the past few months, that was a real inspiration. Thanks.

I was cheering for the crocodile.
Little walk on part like that, no speaking lines, probably got Equity minimum. Chewed on the scenery a bit, sure, but damn, still gots the chops.

That little buffalo is going to grow up to be the king of his herd and lead them to the grassiest parts of the savannah. Fear is obviously not a factor for him!

I really wonder how badly wounded the calf was? I think that though he got away, he had to be pretty badly torn up by the croc and lion bites. I do not think that his long term survival chances were very good.

One of the best parts is where one of the buffalo either kicks or head butts one of the lions, causing it to fly through the air. Anyone know what an average lioness weighs? Those things can't be all that light!

Actual answer:
Cape Buffalo: 925-2000 pounds (425-900 kg)
African Lion: 330-550 pounds (150-250 kg)
African Crocodile: 2000 pounds! (908 kg)
I can see how it took 4-5 lions to wrestle calf away from the crocodile and it still took a lot of effort.
But yeah, a charging buffallo at a lion is like a SUV vs. a motorbike. No contest.
