Has anyone had experience with these two lighting systems?
I have to mount them on some non-standard road handlebars (FSA K-Wings) and weight is a factor.
Any advice/recommendations would be appreciated!

Will Geoman hold that price on the Dinotte? They show none in stock.

I just got an email from them about a new shipment in a day or two.
AE bike have the minewt x2 dual for 170. I got a single for 130something last month.
Very happy with it. Well made and tiny.
The dual is only 3:30 hours on low and half that on high though.

To my understanding the Dinotte 200L comes in two beam formats flood or spot. What is the one Geoman is selling? Got a link to the seller?
Dinotte quoted $155 for the 200L with spot AA version sans the charger.

Well to my understanding there are two beam formats for the 200L. Spot which is mainly sold out there and the flood which if you upgraded the 5W. I can't really remember on this one but I think Dinotte said that they can swap out the lens and give you a flood if you wanted. Don't hold me on that one as I could be wrong.

We're at $149 for the 200L "spot" with rechargeable AA's and charger (http://www.geomangear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=20)...
See the specs (http://www.geomangear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=4&products_id=20) on our site.
Thanks for the mention! We appreciate your support very much.

Yep, we have them.
Hi Joy!
I'm a Dinotte fan, so keep that inm mind. I've got the new Dinotte 200L and believe it comes only in the "spot" version AFAIK. I upgraded an older 3W and 5W combo to two 200L lights, but haven't had them out yet in the dark since I got them. I don't have a good idea of the beam pattern as a result.
Read through this blog- the author (a BF pster, btw) has done a phenomenal job with lights. He's got beamshots and everything! http://acidinmylegs.blogspot.com/search/label/lights
It's a fine fit on my oversized bars (31.8mm), and I'm pretty sure the O-ring mounting sytem would also stretch to fit the K-wings as well. What I'm not sure of is if the shape of the top of of the bars would make the light sit funny...
One other thing I have noticed is that having the light head unit only on the handlebars is fine as far as handling goes. However, when I mount the battery pack under the stem, the added weight up front screws up the steering and makes the bike twitchier... not a good thing!
I'm happy to let you try out my setup and see if it can fit your bike. Just let me know...

If you haven't bought one yet, you can read my review of the X2 dual here http://www.bikeforums.net/showthread.php?t=324834
On sale for $179 at REI...I would buy it again at that price. I would even pay a bit more. no experience with Dinotte, but never hear anything bad
Love my Dinotte's. I run 2 200L's on my bars (more expensive than the Mininewt) I have hit a max of 43mph so far on a winding downhill on an unfamiliar road without trouble.

I can't say that I notice any handling issues with the battery packs. They weigh very little.

Great to hear it's a good combo! I'm looking forward to this fall when I'll get to try them out on the early morning ride.
As for the handling problem, I noticed it with no hands riding- the front end just gets twitchier with the weight of the AA battery pack on the stem. Not so when it's under the top tube.
