This is true. Great rider, total *****. I know a few AMA pros pretty well and having seen how some riders act when away from the press/large crowds is pretty revealing. (I'm not speaking of Mladin on that, I learned all I need to know about him from listening to him speak in interviews.)

I think Matt's attitude has change a lot in the last couple of years. Having Ben kick Matt off his throne has put Matt's attitude into check, in my opinion. I'm not saying his the nicest guy in the paddock, but his attitude has improved.
