If you could plan a city without cars, what would you include in your city?

Hrmm, thats hard to say... Of course, i would say, "bike paths" ... SLC (utah) just got in a new light rail train system, and i got to ride it last week, its great, i would include that in any city... also, i think all cities need OPEN SPACE... i dont think theres enought of it in most cities... but i dont know what your looking for http://www.bikeforums.com/ubb/smile.gif

I would have total access to pedestrian and bicycle traffic. Lanes would be provided for jitnies or small buses carting all those commuters to their detinations. Auto traffic would be confined to points of public transportation embarkation. Leave the cars all in several, strategically placed, parking lots. Trucks for delieveries would have access apart from space for walkers, joggers, and cyclists. Open/green space is also a good thing and plenty of it should be provided.
