I have some 2002 Bomber MXCs, and I fell on some rocks the other week and scratched the left stanchion. I carefully filed the sharp edges a bit, but after two weeks the seal is leaking oil.
Is there anything I can do to fix them?
I have been into my LBS and asked about new crown/stanchions/steerer assembly but they are very expensive ($300 and I paid $500 for the forks). I'm just a little annoyed that a small scratch will cost me so much. I think the only thing I can do is try to smooth the scratches a bit more?
