My bike has standard Magura Louise fitted. Last w/e we went for a ride in absolute pouring rain. We hit a forest, so mud was the order of the day - and lots of it!
No problem braking, but the noise during braking was absolutely dreadful on occasions. After the rain stopped and the discs/pad had dried out, braking returned to normal. I did not honestly expect my brakes to squeal like they did. It seems there are other types of disc pad material types I can use, but do you guys have any suggestions what ones I could try next? I have not ripped the old pads out to see if there is any excessive wear, but there is no scoring on the rotor so I guess metal on metal is not a problem. In dry conditions, braking is spot-on so maybe it's just a wet problem, but I though disc setups were exempt from that?
