Since my endo almost 2 weeks ago, my left elbow remains swollen and sore.
I saw the ortho today and got diagnosed with medial epicondylitis (sp) and elbow contusions. Basically, its inflammation of the tendons around the elbow.
Unfortunately, it could be another couple of weeks until I can ride again and all the good "hilly" 60 - 70 mile rides are coming up at the end of August and early Sept.
I start PT on Wed.
Plus, I go back to work on Aug. 13 so I won't have much time to get out and ride to build back up.
I'm riding the trainer about 1 hr per day and lifting weights, legs only, 2 x per week.
If I can't ride for another couple of weeks how can I maintain my endurance and fitness level for these rides?
Does anyone know how quickly you lose the endurance necessary for long, hilly rides?
