I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm a transplant from Rochester NY and now live up in the Thousand Islands.

The forums are a great help and fun to read since LBS up here are very small and not very helpful!

This time of year I'm envious. You've got great riding weather up there in the summer. I grew up in Rochester and went to college in Potsdam - way back in ... well, let's just say, a really long time ago. Welcome to Bike Forums.

The roads are great for riding. There smooth and a lot of them are recently paved making it nice. If you came up for a vacation I think you would find plenty of opportunities to ride. I use mapmytri.com for all of my rides up here

Now why in the world would you move from Rochester to the scenic 1000 islands? :) Nice biking there btw --- toured from here to Toronto a couple years ago around the east part of the lake.

For Easthills,

I have a 2000 Cannondale R600 that I bought new in 2001 and had 2 years off while I was in Oklahoma. I'm most likely going to buy a new 2008 SystemSix 3 this winter, but I'm still researching. Any suggestions ;) I'm hoping that my riding world will be turned upside down with the difference.

For Tude,

I ask myself that everyday, but I'm hoping to be moving back to Rochester next year at some point. I live right on the water now in a townhouse so that's one plus, but I came up here for a job. Meeting people has been an experience, but getting job experience has made it worth it
