If all else fails, I guess you can take Caltrain, then ride over from Mountain View or Lawrence station.

Thanks, I thought about it but they don't run early enough on holidays unfortunately. I guess worst case I will have my friend take the Ducati instead of the car.

My problem is that if something else comes up, for the most part, any ride planned takes second chair. So I can't for sure say yay or nay until the day or two before the ride.

I realize I'm a maybe so I might not get a vote in this, but the 9AM start that you posted before was what made it a possibility, the 8AM start is too early since I have to drive down from Oakland

Only thing I can suggest is to ride at your own pace up the hill. Don't try to go at someone else's pace. We will re-group at the top of the climbs.

I've been stressing with this bad virus and lung infection, I'm thinking I might not have the energy by labor day, and It would still be fun to hang out, might bring my wife and have a rack for 2 bikes,, I'm going to try and get out tomorrow, but I have my doubts. I think it would be fun. Maybe I can get the Miss's to cook up her oatmeal, flaxseed, blueberry cookies, right out of Chris Carmichael's training book. Also the team car thing might be good for my resume, I hear Johann Bruyneel's assembling a team for next year, I'll give him a ring.
