I couldn't find the fashion forum so i guess i'll ask here... I think I've seen a pink rear rack before, for sale (probably online), not a custom paint job. Google is no help. Did I dream it?

edit: maybe this should be moved to the shiny new Utility forum!:D

I've seen them on bikes so they exist unless we have the same dreams. No, pink is style not utility. Pink racks and black racks have the same utility.

Maybe try the Electra bikes (http://www.electrabike.com/06_new/flash_index.html)website...I have seen them somewhere too, but can't recall where. If all else fails get one powder coated...

I wonder what it costs to have a rack powdercoated?

Dunno..but if I remember I will take my old Blackburn over to the local place and ask them..it needs redoing anyway.

On a whim, I searched flickr. Check the notes on this photo:

I commented, so maybe the owner of this photo will be a help. But wasting no time, I examined the biggest size of the photo to reveal a logo on the rack, and with the help of Google I pinned it down as a Blackburn. This rack is everywhere, but I have yet to find a store that stocks it in pink. It's all black, black, black.

Blackburn...used to make racks in colors. I have a battered yellow one that has seen daily service since around 1992. Your best bet may be to pickup a used one and get it powder coated in your shade of pink...

Anything is possible:D and no it WAS NOT photoshopped! Belongs to my college aged daughter.

That's a bright car. About 10 or 12 years ago, a guy from the Yukon was down in my part of B.C. He was driving a bright pink Cadillac with angel figurines plastered on the sides. This guy had legally changed his name to Elvis Presley and had recorded a couple of albums. (The rest of the story gets even stranger. Last year, he ran for a government seat in the Yukon.)

That car is seriously AWESOME! I might enjoy driving if I had a pink car!

I'm so happy pink is hot right now. so far, it hasn't been hard to find anything (not just bike stuff!) in pink, with a little legwork. I even painted my kitchen chairs pink, so I guess it's sort of a sickness. The bike is just the next victim of my addiction...
And then i found these threads. drool...

Is it even reasonable to have a rack powdercoated? I think it might be cost prohibitive.
