As I continue to ponder on what components to pick for my next ww bike, I realize most of the very light parts I want to use I've never had any experience with. So, I get to the question of:
Do I want to get all these extremely light parts only for them to break up or not hold up to time? or, do I want to get parts that are very durable and proven but not the lightest?
For example, I am considering the Ritchey WCS carbon seat post, fork, stem, and bars. Seem very light, but certainly no the lightest. Are they considered very durable and strong? Again, I have no experience with Ritchey stuff. I am also considering Zipp 303 or 404 tubulars, but have the same questions..
Ultimately, this is for a daily rider that is very easy on equipment, does plenty of preventive maintenance, is right under 200Lb, does hardly any climbing, non-aggressive ridding style, and no racing whatsoever.
Any suggestions??
