The little cap on the left STI (105) of my bike fell off. Does this peice do anything? should I bother to try put it back on?

i've lost both of mine, actually. i don't think it's anything other than cosmetic. mine left a while ago and i've not lost any functionality.

You CAN get replacements for them if you like... I bought a used bike that had 105 shifters with one missing cap... They said they would replace it, and when it came out from the back it had two ultegra caps on.;) I won't lie to anyone when I sell the bike, but at least it gave me an extra bit of poser factor. ;)
