...sweet

Remember a few months ago i said i was thinking of investing in an iphone? Screw that...i decided to opt for a poor mans HDTV. I wanted to invest in a flat screen so i had some more space on my desk and i needed to buy a TV. I gave myself about $200 for each...i thought about it and figured "What the hell...get one that does both and does it better". It's also convenient because of the smaller size of my apartment, and my computer speakers which are pretty decent 5.1. Is it football season yet?

$500 refurbished 37" LCD HDTV. It's only 720p (1080i) but for this price i can't go wrong. And video games and even the internet look great on here!

Though i will say, i was curious and dug up those pictures ryanf posted of his legs...they are still pretty small

It works pretty good as a TV too :)

Very cool!

I did the same thing a few months ago. I found a nice refurb and got a pretty decent 37" HDTV from Newegg for about $500.

What do you have the resolution at? Do you know how large the resolution can get?

I've been thinking about doing this too.

The girlfriend is still in town, so i haven't needed any porn, but if i had to guess i would imagine it's spectacular :-)

As for the resolution, it's 720p, so 1360x768...if you got 1080p i think it's 1920x1080...much better for computer use (and HD content in 1080p).

If you can swing it, don't hesitate...just do it. Especially if your in a situation like me where your desktop and TV is ideally the same thing.

I'm currently using dual 22" flatscreens, 1680x1050 resolution each. I hooked my dad up with a 22" as well, but the resolution was a bit too fine for his eyesight.

So I bit the bullet it got him a 32" 1080p Sharp Aquos. Resolution is 1920 x 1080, quite nice. $999 shipped from Newegg at the moment.

720p is good for a monitor as well, as long as you don't open a lot of windows at once. For $500, you can't go wrong, esp since it's a 37".

If your dad doesn't want that 22", I'll take!

Screw LCD's.

24'', 90 pound, Sony CRT's @ 2560 x 1920 and 120 Hz = teh win.
