Foo - bad bike

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

i was riding home after work started up a small climb and i here a noise, next thing i know my bike stops
and throws me over the handlebars, i turn my head and see my back wheel being spit off to the side
after i untangle from the carnege and my bike is done laughing at me i try to put the wheel back on and nope it is bent (no wheel will go there) so i put the wheel close to where it is supose to go and sternly start walking my bad bike to meet with a ride home for the rest of the way(grabing it by the scruff of the aero bars) and told it how bad it was, it did not say a word after that.
not yet sure if it is fixable yet, it is in a time out for a while
WTH did you do to make your rear wheel explode? Glad you are ok.

none of the damage, when i got home i took a screwdriver to the bike and bent it back close,,,,,,
havent tried it yet i am a little leary about riding on bent metal but if it is a lose i dont feel too bad about it, i have got my moneys worth out of this bike 50.00$ at a yard sale about 7 years ago plus a few minor upgrades if it is not ok i will use it as a wall decoration
Shot out dropouts=wall art

some mechanical failures are due, in part, to mechanical failures. 99% of others are usually due to neglect
god speed your recovery.

Get out your torch, cut out the old dropouts and weld some new ones in. Or throw it into the hillbilly outdoor art museum.
