On monday night around 11:30pm, in front of the Glendale Galleria in Glendale there were about 40+ cyclists gathered outside the mall. I don't know if they were at the ending point or starting point, but it seemed like a nice big group.

What group/event was this? What's the ride information if anyone knows. Thanks.

It wasn't any matching gear or at least didn't seem like it. Not everyone appeared in lycra either. The bikes appeared to be all road or fixed gears(old and new). I was driving by so didn't get a good glance, but it looked like one guy had a 4 spoke wheel in the front in white. I don't know if that would help.
