Soldier's Reunion Ride-Sunday Aug. 19

Any one planning on going? 2007 Soldier's Reunion (http://www.ci.newton.nc.us/news/images/ride.pdf)

A couple of us from Hickory will be there. Planning on riding the 60 mile option. It has been so bloody hot lately, that I think the 100 would just about kill me. Hope to see some BF'ers out there!

I signed up for the 100, but the route map looks like we can complete the 60 and then decide whether to continue. I've heard the marching bands eschewed the parade today due to heat.

I grew up in Newton and will be visiting my father for the weekend. I also have high school reunion on Saturday night. Look for me on a "Bottecchia" and say howdy. :)

I'll keep an eye out for you. Have a great ride and ride fast so you can beat the heat. Best thing is that there is a pool at the end of the ride. Yay!

I had thought about it but used up too much riding in the mountains today. I've done Soldiers Reunion several times and it is a nice ride. I hope they have a good turnout.
