What is denoted by the Special Edition? Are they for tubeless rims? I'm trying to mount on my WTB DualDuty XC Rim...it'll fit right? Also, why is the weight different from this tire..http://www.jensonusa.com/store/product/TI707A08-Panaracer+Fire+Xc+Pro+Tire.aspx

Performance is large enough to get mfgrs to make them tires only they can sell. I think it's a few grams heavier than the ones everyone sells, but I doubt there's any difference. I have one, it works. Not a tubeless specific tire, however I was able to mount mine up tubeless with Stan's.
BTW, you'll find probably 1 in 50 tires that match the stated weight. Most are heavier, but they vary by as much as 30-40g usually.

The difference in weight is most likely that the performance tire is a 60 TPI. and the Jenson is a 127 TPI.

Weight difference is stated on those links to be 40g. Yes, it will fit on your rim.
The Performance tire is NOT made in Taiwan as stated in the Jenson link and on Cambria (http://www.cambriabike.com/shopexd.asp?id=26541&page=PANARACER+FIRE+XC+PRO+TIRE+(60)+TPI) as well. I own the Performace tire and the retail packaging states it is made in Japan. Performance also sells a 590g 2.1 126 tpi (http://www.performancebike.com/shop/Profile.cfm?SKU=4206&item=50-0146&slitrk=search&slisearch=true) that is a bit more expensive.
