Mountain Biking - Help - Rear hyrdo brakes drag

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have hyrdos and I accidentally pulled the rear brake when the wheel was off. Now when I put the wheel on it doesn't spin freely but has major drag from the pads. What should I do?

Yeh this is a pain in the @rse.
What brakes do you have?
Get some business cards and slide them in either side of the pad and rotor while the wheel is in. Give the lever a good squeeze, then take out the cards and squeeze firmly. You may need to also re-center your caliper before you do this.
If that dosn't work, get a clean flat head screwdriver and with the wheel out push and pry the pads (which will push the pistons) back into the caliper.

I've done this so many freakin times on bikes that I've built for the bike shop I work at. basically, just stick a flathead in there and pry em back. It can do it in a minute or two now.
