Just built my first wheel the other day. Very un-tru but I did the best I could without a stand.

My first wheels just didn't last very long, mostly from insuffficiant spoke tension...

Caveat: I don't ride BMX.

Bottom line: If you care about this wheel, then I would recommend taking it to an LBS for them to finish it off.

Buses are the worst. They don't go to the other side so they're like 5 in from your face, and they honk their horn.
