I just bought a 2003 TREK 6700 and already the seat is loose. When I ride it, it slides down and goes left and right very easily. Is there anything I can do to fix this? I hate having to stop all the time to raise the seat back up or to straighten it. Anyone have any advice? Thanks

If your seat collar binder bolt is not holding it down, pull the seatpost out, wipe it clean, and then smear a tiny bit of rubber cement on the seatpost and re-insert.
My Campy seatpost kept slipping no matter how tight I tweeked the binder bolt. A dab of tubular cement did the job....

Have you made sure that the binder bolt is properly tightened and the seatpost properly greased? Are you sure that the seatpost is the correct diameter for the seattube? I've never haerd of the rubber cement idea - it seems as though removal could be a little difficult.

Well, the seat is the origional one with the bike so I would hope it was the right diameter. The binder bolt is properly tightened, and the post is properly greased. Dont really know what else to do. Any suggestions? Thanks
