yeah, you can only ride one at a time, but I do own 4 bikes.

Lemond road bike, Gary Fisher Full Suspension MTB, Touring bike that I built from spare parts and a Nashbar steel frame, I actually commute on this bike during the winter/Fall/Inclement weather, then I have a loaner MTB that I built from an old junk frame that I found on Ebay. The loaner I ride around the neighbor hood, that way no one wants to "Barrow" the bike on a permanent basis.

now that doesn't even count the bikes that the family rides, and to think we are getting a new bike tomorrow, seems that my daughter did a bit of extra work for the shop that she works at, and she ended up with a tandem 7 speed beach cruiser, that should be fun around the neighbor hood, but I really have no idea where we are going to store the thing :).

Only two. Trek 7000 mountain bike and Trek 1200 road bike. The road bike sees way more use than the mountain bike. The road bike will be replaced as soon as I decide what I want.

Edit: I just discovered what the current Trek 7000 looks like. Mine is nothing like today's model.

When I bought my versillie I almost got the torumalet, that was a sweet bike, there was something about a steel and carbon frame that was fun to ride. :)

85 Raleigh Wyoming, which is my commuter, and a 78 Schwinn Traveller that I'm partially restoring while riding. Then there's the other 4 bikes hanging in the garage that belong to my wife and 3 of my kids that get used regularly, and the cheap BMX out in the shed that my daughter's friends ride when they sleep over. That's 7 in the household.

yeah, you can only ride one at a time...

Two:

2007 18" Trek Navigator, named Excelsior after the poem by Longfellow. Purchased December 2006. Over 1600 miles Excelsior and I have traveled. Ex is my first bike, and despite the fact he's clunky and slow, he'll always be special. He's now my commuter, having been replaced as my main bike by...

2008 20" Trek 7.5 fx, named Roark after the hero of Rand's The Fountainhead. Roark is faster and lighter than Excelsior, and I'm using him now for my 'event' rides such as the MS City to Shore in a month.

i have found a 67 varsity,a 77 camelback varsity, a primo 76 gitane and, a 98 huffy mountain bike.
trying to bring my fathers bikes back up to snuff,i have rediscovered my old love of riding. and sank a crapload of money into tools and, such to do maintenance. next thing is i wanna start building my own wheels.then i can afford a top flight wheelset hopefully.

i just counted and, thats seven bikes, thats to many.

2003 Giant OCR 3 Frame with all new 105 Components that I use for training
2001 Schwinn High Plains with Fenders and Rack for hauling groceries and Wet Weather Commuting
1993 Nishiki International that is my primary Commuter
199X Specialized MTB (Some Moron Painted over everything but the headbadge) Beater for Snow/Ice commuting
1992 Trek 800 Frame That I'm going to turn into a drop bar MTB/Urban Utility Vehicle

I've got several junker frames in various states of life.
I have a '52 Raleigh Robin Hood 3 speed that I want to restore but that is probably several years off.
I'm looking for an early nineties Centurion Ironman Expert to turn into a fixie. If I can find two I'd leave one as a 6spd in memory of the one I had stolen that started my addiction.

Darn, I mispelled Tourmalet. The Tourmalet is all aluminum. Is the Versaille the cf and steel bike? I almost got one as it was on sale for only $200 more then the Tourmalet. :D

Most of all I like the fit of the Tourmalet. If I ever go all carbon, I'll get a Lemond. Most likey the Zurich.

I have 5:

1999 Ionic Columbus Nemo stealie with 2004 Campy --she's the 'daily' ride. Smooth as butter, if a little soft in the BB (I read once I'm technically too heavy for the Nemo tubes)

2006 Blue Racing Cycles RC4-AL, built up with 2003 Campy Record. Fast, corners on rails, still comfy for all day (and I mean all day)

2006 Kona Paddy Wagon fixed gear --the bar bike, toodling with friends and winter spinorama

2007 $45 Nashbar mtn frame special 8 spd commuter. She needs fenders and lights when the time comes, but she's the commuter.

And a Bianchi CuSS single speed mtn bike. Picked up off of ebay for $400 about a year ago, still haven't ridden it on dirt yet. Guess I'm really a roadie?

Trek 520 - ill fitting, first bike purchase
Independent Fabrications Club Racer - Dreamy steel wonder bike, used for commuting, touring, and steep climbing (lots of granny gear options)
Bike Friday Pocket Rocket - fun traveling bike
Gary Fisher Big Sur MTB - just in case I ever want to go MTB'ing
Specialized Roubaix - Dreamy Carbon wonder bike

That is all.

Two (see sig). There are about 5 more that I'd like to have, but one thing at a time (I'm moving this winter, and preparing to purchase a new car next year - new toys will have to wait).

I'll probably end up selling the Hardrock soon. I almost never ride it now that I have a proper road bike.

yeah the versaille is a carbon spine and cross bar. the chain stays, and the rest of the frame is steel, it is a great ride and a comfortable bike, the Zurich last year was the same thing, carbon/steel.

Too many if you ask my wife! LMAO!

Let's see:

1989 Fisher Gemini Tandem. Way too many miles on this one and it's been in storage for the past 7 years.

1977 Peugeot Womans Touring bike. Not ridden since we bought the tandem in 89. Is currently in pieces awaiting restoration.

1983 Schwinn Sierra, My First MTB. Bought to pull our twins in a Cannondale Bugger Trailer. Bike currently on loan to Brother In Law, status unknown.

1992 Trek 970 Singletrak 2nd MTB bought and a gift to myself for surviving Desert Storm deployment. This bike helped to blaze many a Trail at the Adirondack Scout Reservation in the early 90's to develop a MTB Program for the Boy Scouts. Currently on loan to my Brother in Ohio. Status unknown.

2000 KHS Aluminum Cruiser with 7 speed Nexus Hub. Bought on the cheap at the bike shop I worked for. Got the bike for the price of the hub alone and also picked up a honey brown Brooks in the deal. Bike is ridden by my son in law and is stored in my garage.

1999 Rans Rocket. My first bent! About 7500 mile on this one. Still looks new and freshly updated drivetrain and returned to totally stock. Only odd ball thing on this bike is the almost 2 inch wide Maxxis Hookworm tires I run on it pumped up to 110 psi. FAST and ODD looking!

Build Date 2007, Nashbar Chromoly MTB Frame. The bike that got me back in the saddle after a 7 year lay-off. Built for fast city riding with the occasional blast on the Greenway trail. About 500 miles since built and I'm loving this bike!

2007 Trek 7000 WSD. New bike for the wife. Replaced the old Peugeot with something I can get parts for. She's loving it, but needs to ride much more.

2006 In-Step Child Trailer. Bought to haul the Grand Son around. He loves it! He knows to fetch his helmet before we go for a ride.

2002 Lemond Zurich, my road bike

2007 Santa Cruz Superlight, MTB fully

2006 Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp, another MTB fully

2004 Specialized Stumpjumper M4 hardtail

1982 Specialize Expedition touring bike

Frankly I have no idea why I still have hte Expedition other than that bike has taken me,s everal time, across country, so I still have love for it. It has a nice little spot in the garage where it hangs. I keep toying with the thought of turning the Expedition into a single speed and using it as a computer bike.

So does it look like this one:

I built that one to commute on, has a touring crank set and 700c mountain rims, it is a bit heavy but then it's not meant to be a speed demon :).

2.5

The two are listed in the sig - an old Schwinn 3 speed that I usually use to commute on (need new wheels) and a potentially older Raleigh 10 speed for weekend fun. Both were craigslist specials and have (as far as I can tell) all original parts, which means they need a lot of TLC right now.

The half is a Surly Long Haul Trucker frame/fork sitting in my basement waiting for me to get the others restored enough that I won't have to mess with them for a while and can build it up for medium-long touring.

2, and the beginning of a pile of parts that will be my third.

1991 Specialized Stumpjumper (The Brick) as my commuter.
1991 Schwinn Paramount PDG Series 5 (Japanamount) for my speed demon.
Parts that will eventually become a Surly LHT which will be my commuter/tourer.

04 Trek 4300, wrecked and rebuilt with many non original components and repainted silver. A better than original bike now
05 Specialized Hardrock, converted to a flat bar road bike with CF fork, 700 C wheels with 700x23 armadillos and Avid BB7 disc brakes
06 Specialized Hardrock, factory trim
07 Jamis Coda Elite, changed to a crowbar, added bar "middles", CF seat post and Brooks B-17

06 Trek 4300

I also had Trek 7500 , but sold it when upgraded to Giant TCX.

Had to lighten the load so I'm down to two:

2006 Lemond Buenos Aires
1997 Specialized S-Works (mtb)

I just traded my old Bridgestone mtb and I'm giving my ultegra equipped Schwinn to my little brother. Depending on where I end up, I'm going to start looking to replace my S-Works with a full suspension mountain bike or I may look for a cyclocross bike to race on.

Not soon enough! I just dropped the down payment in order for Co-Motion to begin the engineering process. The shop drawings should be in my hands in about a month. After I approve them it will take about 10 weeks to build it. I might be on it by Thanksgiving.
