As many of you know, I'm an aficionado of fluffy, human interest stories. Here's one with a utlility cycling theme for you (http://clevercycles.com/?p=195). I had the great honor of meeting this delightful and plucky lady as tfahrner and his family were taking a break outside at a cafe near my house. I found it difficult to accept that someone so young could be a great grandmother. :)
BTW, I would just like to say that I greatly admire tfahrner's athletic ability. I have to walk my bike up much of Mt. Tabor...

Hey, what a great lady. Even at 40 I suspect I'd be hurtin' after all that.

Back near home, she said she was up for more so on we rode to the top of Mt. Tabor.
I swear I saw her in the soapbox derby. When I first saw her going down the hill I thought to myself, "that's kind of odd". Then I looked around and thought... "What?" Then she passed the Pinches Taqueria Taco Stand going into the Learning Curve.
