Velocity Fusion Rims
Ultegra Hubs
DT 14/15 DB black spokes
32 up front, 36 rear, laced 3x

They replaced my Bontrager Select wheels that came with the bike. The Bontragers had 20/24 spokes. The rear would go out of true every 500 miles or so, or after a steep climb. I eventually ripped a spoke out of the rear rim but got that replaced under warranty. The front wheels never gave me trouble, but it made ticking noises when I got out of the saddle and mashed; not exactly confidence inspiring. Plus, the front had little lateral strength.

The new wheels seem, a bit heavier. The new front wheel is definitely heavier than the Bontragers. The rears feel similiar. The BOntrager set weighed 1890 grams per the Bontrager website. I imagine these wheels weigh nearly 2000 grams....but it is all good! I took it for a short spin and the wheels are much stiffer and stronger.

As far as me: I clock in at 240 pounds, naked, after a huge dump. I have lost 16 pounds so far. I bought these wheels for reliability. I don't want to fool with constant truing and worrying about it breaking, especially since I am training fro my first Metric Century next month!!!

Thanks to all those that have discussed Clyde wheels on the forums and replied to my PM's, especially those in the Roadie forum.

I've got Velocity Deep Vs. 2500 miles, and they are just as true as the day I bought them. I swear, I could probably take them trail riding.

nice. I have deep-vs, 36 rear and 28 front. Also got the balck spokes. One of these days I'll post a pic -- they look a little mean on the JTS (it's an 06, so it's orange with a black fork and chain / seat stays)

Just ordered new wheels for my baby as well!

NICE. I'm going to the LBS over my lunch break to see what kind of deal they'll make me on the parts I want for my new rear (XT hub, Deep-V rim, Wheelsmith DB spokes). I'd like to get a front too but.. awe hell, may as well.

My Mazama will have 40 holed Velocity Dyad wheels, DT Hugi symmetric hubs and Salsa skewers!

My Trek 7200 has 32 holed Matrix 750 (Bontrager?) wheels and Shimano hubs. They have held up for over 6,000 miles so far. I think the hub is due because the rear wheel has a little play in it.
