I hate to do it but it has come time for me to sell my IF Ti Crown Jewel. This IF is pretty close to a Medium Giant TCR compact frame dimensions wise. It is in very good condition except for one chip on the top tube (about 1/4") and a little cable rub. The small IF stickers on the chainstay have some cracking which seems to be typical for stickers on ti for some reason.

I ordered this frame in May of 2004 and I received it in August of 2004. It has approximately 5,000 miles on it. Along with the frame I am including a Reynolds Ouzo Pro carbon fork w/ carbon steerer and a Chris King headset.

I am asking $1,500 plus $30 insured shipping (in the continental US). I think this is a pretty reasonable price considering that a new ti crown jewel costs $3,850.

Here are the measurements for the frame.

Fork Rake - 45
Fork length - 372
Head tube angle - 73
Seat tube angle - 73.5
Top Tube length - 56.5 cm (effective)
Head Tube length - 130 mm
Seat Tube length - 46 cm (compact geometry)
Chain Stay length - 410 mm
Wheel base - 998 mm
Standover - 762 mm
Drop 73

Here is a very poor quality picture of the chip on the top tube.

Okay here are some better pictures of the frameset and some showing the blemishes. All of the blemishes are small and barely noticeable once the bike is built up.

This is from where I dropped my chain one time.

This is the cracked sticker on the seatstay I mentioned earlier.

Not sure how this one got here. :o

This is from the front derailleur clamp, it should be covered up when you install your front derailleur.

This is from the rear brake cable rub. I have a piece of clear tape down and to be honest I'm not sure how much of the rub is on the frame and how much is on the tape.

Most of these are small blemishes. I just don't want anyone to be suprised once they receive the frame.

Too bad it is too small for me. If it was just a little bigger... I might have to buy it. One question, what weight were the tubes selected for. In other words, how much did you weigh or had the bike spec'd to.

I was right around 180 - 185 at the time.

Any interest before it hits ebay?

+1

If it were a bit larger then I would definitely pull the trigger; in fact I am currently saving my greenbacks for a painted custom Ti & I do love that burnt orange look.

You might want to hold off a few days and let BFers marinate on the idea of this frame, as I am certain you will get a few PMs in the coming days given that great asking price. It beats Ebay and paying those annoying seller and Paypal fees.

Good luck.

I appreciate the offer but I am selling this one to help pay off a frame that I just bought. You could always buy this one and then sell yours though. You would probably come pretty close to breaking even.

You know the geometry on that is just a tad off from what I need. The top tube is 4cm longer and the head tube is 5cm taller.

Why do you do this to me?

Sounds like a good idea. I'll give it until at least tomorrow evening or possibly Monday before putting it up on ebay.
