I'm looking for a flip-flop freecoaster hub. Does such a thing exist anywhere? I want to build up a dual drivetrain bike with a freecoaster on the left side and a regular freewheel on the right side. It would be like a coasting fixed gear.

No, that does not exist. A design such as that is impossible.

That's the dumbest idea ever.
They don't make flipflop free coaster hubs.

what I want to do might be dumb, but a flip flop freecoaster isn't that absurd. flip flop hubs and freecoasters both exist.
So do crocodiles and puppy dogs.
But you can't mix them into one croco-puppy dog.
Even if you could manage to make a hub with freewheel on one side & freecoaster on the other, the amount of slack found (and needed) in a freecoaster to make it work would drive you nuts trying to ride as a "fixie that can coast"

yeah, well that's biological. They have a phones combined with mp3 players and cameras. anyway, I just wanted to know if it existed. I know it's stupid.

Better idea: Take a two-or-three speed rear hub and replace the smallest cog(s) with a smooth plastic ring. Works great for my friend Mike over at Specialized when he wants to go backwards and doesn't have his BMX bike.

Well, obviously we know a FF freecoaster doesn't exist. However it might be possible to find a freecoaster hub that can switch drive sides. But I couldn't tell you where to find one haha.

The G-sport one will be able to when it comes out.

I'm trying to picture how it could be done...
Couldn't you make like a reverse threaded clutch, and the hub comes with two, allowing it to be switched from RHD to LHD?
Just a thought...

Yes actually, it will...
EDIT: Read this thread idiot... http://www.bikeguide.org/forums/showthread.php?t=119457
Posted by G-sport George himself... "As I said, this is like a simple version of the hub to help with the patent process. What you see in the pictures is a pared down version of the actual hub to make it simple to explain the operation of the clutch and make the patent strong. The production version has quite a few more parts and operates in a slightly more complex way.
Yes, as the patent states, left and right hand drive are available in the same hub simply by assembling the same parts in a different orientation.
Spring-drag and slack are both adjustable too obviously."

Disassembling the hub and rotating internals is not at all the same thing as riding a flip-flop hub...

True, but it's similar.
In other news, my friend got a KHE Reverse, and broke it his first day of riding. Basically it wouldn't engage consistantly. Sometimes with 1/4 of a crank, and sometimes 3 full cranks. I think the spring pin was broken. Bummers. He sent it back to Albes and they are fixing it for him and sending it back.

My friend's driver broke on his Reverse. Now he is rocking a Profile hub.

That dosen't matter, it can still swap out to left or right hand drive in the same hub.
