Alright, I haven't been on my bike for a week now. I was just putting it on the stand, rotating the crank backwards I felt a snag on every revolution. It tried to check the chain, cassette, both derailleur, etc, but couldn't find the source.

And then I tried to move the crank laterally away from each other. HOLY ****BALLS!! They were loose. I mean there was a good 4-5mm of play. The bolt that held them together had come loose to the point of finger-tightening.

I thought I had tightened them enough, so I got my 10mm hex and just tightened it as much as I can. I guess I should've gotten that torque wrench, eh?

You really do need to torque this bolt down to spec. If it is torqued to spec, the washer (notice it isn't flat) will exert a significant amount of force (it's either 1300lbs or 1500lbs, I can never remember:D) to keep it tight.

Also it is important that you keep the C-clip installed on the drive side. This isn't just for assembly. Lastly, this is true for any set-up where the cups mount outside the BB shell, make sure your BB shell is properly faced. This will greatly extend bearing life.

If you look at the Ultra-Torque warning Campa published, you will see a picture of a hand-held hex key being used. It has a big X through it, and NO in several languages. The other picture shows a torque wrench and the proper values with it, and YES in the same languages.
