This appears to be a cycling movie that I have never seen

Could this be a sleeper that slipped through the cracks? It looks to be a pretty good movie about Major Taylor (Black American) who races track in Australia around 1900. Anyone seen this one? It's a 1989 movie.

I found it on Dish Network (satellite) on the True Stories Channel. Appears it will be on again later in the day.

Below is a short description:

Indiana-born Major Taylor breaks racial barriers as a world-champion bicycle racer in circa-1900 Australia.

It was an Aussie made-for-TV miniseries, a dead serious and slow-paced video biography of Major Taylor focusing on his racing in Australia. I've seen it and liked it. It has it's rewards.

Glad I caught this thread- I'll be definitely watching this one today! This is the movie I've been trying to get my hands on for the longest!

Thanks for the heads up!

Oh, I just checked- that's 3:50 Central Standard Time, in case people from other time zones want to watch the movie too.
