Tandem Cycling - N. California by Gilroy/San Jose/Fremont area

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hi I ride mtb alot and recently me and my girlfriend bought a tandem. Do you guys know a place where we can go riding that have a nice scenery? I don't like to ride on the street next to the cars so a good long stretch flat surface (maybe park) would be a good spot for riding. Anyone know a good place? O yeah, with lots of shade from the trees would be nice too :)!
Thanks!
In Fremont, there is the Alameda Creek trail, which is a nice straight 12 mile bike path. Incorporate this ride with the adjacent Coyote Hills trail, you have a nice flat 28 mile ride away from cars.

The Coyote Creek Trail starts at Hellyer Park in San Jose and runs 20 (?) miles to Morgan Hill. It's a paved, two-lane bike/mutliuse trail.
