I just bought one of these, and was wondering if the plasticy taste is normal, and when will it go away?

Add a dash of lemon juice to your water. Eventually the taste will go away.

Did you wash it out first before using it? Many things often have an oily residue left over from production. Rinse it out a couple of times and most of the plastic taste should go away.
