Great Lakes - Lanesboro, MN............WTF????

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I went to my sister's wedding this past weekend at a B & B in Lanesboro, but when I pull up I notice that every single car has a bike rack on it. I start to look around and there are bikes EVERYWHERE! I couldn't believe it. I really didn't expect to have time to ride, so I didn't bring my bike, but if I would have known this was the biking mecca of the western hemisphere I would have brought two or three bikes! I live near Seattle now, but I've never seen anything like this. Is it like this all the time or did I just see a fluke weekend?

Last September I went for two week days and stayed in Lanesboro. There was a good crowd during the week even. Every town along the Root River Trail were bicycle freindly.

60 miles of paved trails means there are hundreds of cyclists all summer long.
