Training & Nutrition - Landis' Home Made Altitude Tent

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Has anyone red Landis' latest book in which he claims he built a sub $1k altitude tent from a large PVC pipe (of sorts) and a compressor (of sorts). Does anyone have a better idea how one could be build and what would be the price in today's market?
Thanks, Peter

The reason his price was so low was that they got the concrete pipe for free. No idea where you'd get one. The problem is you'd need something strong enough not to collapse in on itself. If you tried to do an entire room, the power required would likely be immense.
You mean my foodsaver won't work?

He also mentioned his idea was sucking in te caps that were plexiglass I beleive.
It can be done because once you get the pressure were you want it should not change. I think its a cool idea for anyone that wants to try it.
Good luck
